Before & After...

New Kitchen - Before & After

This view shows the new open kitchen. The peninsula area was created by removing part of the wall. Countertops are Corian Savannah with integral sink.

This view shows the new kitchen and part of the dining room custom built-in. Light, bright and airy.

This view shows the custom plate rack with corbel supports and bead board full height backsplash. Under cabinet lighting really made a difference in the overall effect.

This view shows built-in refrigerator with bead board panel. Compare this to the next picture of the old kitchen!

Bathroom - Before & After
New bathroom walls have white matte subway tiles at 60" high except the shower area which is 84" high.  The floor is ceramic tile "wood" look, which is heated with a separate thermostat.  This is a 1st floor bathroom built on a concrete slab so this makes a big difference in the warmth of the bathroom.  The walls are painted Horse Brown by Benjamin Moore and this too adds "warmth".  The plumbing fixtures are all Kohler.  The shower pan is Corian custom pan.  The mirror is actually a medicine cabinet by Robern which has great interior space!  The vanity has under cabinet lighting to add another element of "warmth".  The towel bars are all grab bars.  The teak seat in the shower folds up and allows for 400 pound weight.
The two niches add interest and allows for decorative items and accent color.
The shower curtain is white parachute type material hung at 84" high adds another element of texture.  This was perferred by the homeowner as opposed to glass doors which seemed confining and cold.  The exterior door was replace with a frosted glass center.
Another beauty of this bathroom remodel is that as style and color trends change.....adding different color towels, accessories and paint will give this bathroom a brand new look, as though it was recently remodeled and at a nominal cost.  This truly is a bathroom remodel for the ages!
